SIGGRAPH & More

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore has won Best In Show at the 2011 SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival. The festival is recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying festival. Since 1999, several works originally presented in the Computer Animation Festival have been nominated for or have received a "Best Animated Short" Academy Award. We're excited and honored to have been selected for this award.
The level of quality and technical expertise exemplified by this year’s submissions continues to raise the bar for the extreme innovation and leading technology the Computer Animation Festival delivers year after year.
-Joshua Grow, SIGGRAPH 2011 Computer Animation Festival Director

The Morris short was also awarded the Grand Prize at this year's Annecy+ film fest. We've heard it was a fun-filled evening that attracted a large crowd, glad people enjoyed themselves and the film selections.
