The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore has won Best In Show at the 2011 SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival. The festival is recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying festival. Since 1999, several works originally presented in the Computer Animation Festival have been nominated for or have received a "Best Animated Short" Academy Award. We're excited and honored to have been selected for this award.

Annecy+

The Morris short was also awarded the Grand Prize at this year's Annecy+ film fest. We've heard it was a fun-filled evening that attracted a large crowd, glad people enjoyed themselves and the film selections.

MSNBC.com's Gadgetbox reviewed the Morris iPad app, calling it a "must have interactive book". An image of Morris is currently featured on their Tech and Science homepage, linking to the review.

Seattle

Earlier this month, Calvin embarked upon a weekend Lunar Art and Cinema mission. Destination: Seattle International Film Fest. Calvin successfully achieved his objectives, which included presenting the Morris short and participating in a Q&A session with festival attendees.
