Lunar Discoveries with Vanesa R. Del Rey

The moonbots find lots of terrific things on their lunar adventures. This week, we asked artist Vanesa R. Del Rey to share her favorite discoveries:

Jacques Tardi

Jacques Tardi is a french comic artist who is responsible for reinventing what is called ligne claire, a style that gives equal weight to every line. The simplicity of his design combined with a neat yet expressive line is what gets me about his work.

Everyday I Show

I draw inspiration from the tag "Everyday I Show" on tumblr. A lot of famous photographers are featured on it and just great photography overall.

Soviet animation from the 50's and 60's

Yes. These cartoons are the ones I grew up with. They glued me to the TV at 6pm everyday and are the reason I started drawing. Their beauty inspires me to this day.
