The latest Diggs Nightcrawler developer diary features the amazing music team composed of some of the UK's best jazz players. The soundtrack was inspired by big band and jazz music: Count Basie, the Ellington Orchestra and scores to 60's police shows.
We think the score turned out swell thanks to the amazing team of musicians that worked on Diggs. Read more about their process on the Playstation EU Blog.
Diggs has been getting rave reviews around the globe and here's a few of our favorites, kid:
- The Telegraph: "In the hands of Louisiana-based animators Moonbot Studios (who recently won an Oscar for their short film and interactive iPad app The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore) Wonderbook is transformed into an interactive device. Here, the page turning, tilting, rotating and shaking mechanics are put to work in service of Adam Volker’s noir detective tale."
- Forbes: "Diggs Nightcrawler is from the animation studio behind the excellent interactive iPad app The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. Moonbot Studios bring both their animation and technical know-how to bear here"
- HeyUGuysGaming: "Diggs Nightcrawler is exactly what the Wonderbook needed to spring it back to life."
- Eurogamer: "I like the use of the AR stuff, it's really cool. It's my first time using a Wonderbook. Worth picking up if you have some kids you need to keep quiet for awhile."
- ShopTo: "What's most impressive about Diggs Nightcrawler is the graphics. He we have a dark, noir-style world that somehow still manages to appeal to children. The characters are friendly and likable and while at times the world manages to take on a darker streak, it's family friendly enough to keep the children playing as they do their best to help out their new friend, Diggs."
