Coming January 15th William Joyce, our faithful co-founder of Moonbot studios, will be introducing the fabulous and unforgettable movie, Gone With The Wind. This special presentation will be hosted at none other than the Robinson Film Center, located in downtown Shreveport.
The RFC notes Gone With The Wind as,
"The grandest, most ambitious movie in cinematic history, Gone with the Wind still makes a strong case for its greatness. Featuring more than 50 speaking roles and 2,400 extras, the 1939 classic about the Reconstruction South also boasts some of the most vivid imagery ever captured on Technicolor."
"I'm probably one of the last generations that has grown up with this movie that has been culturally significant to me as a southerner. ,I saw this in the theater when I was a kid, even though my parents told me that this movie was just filled with grown-ups, it was really long and would be boring. My reply to my parents was 'well, the poster looks cool and everybody talks about it.' When you go see this movie it is a completely dream logic, child friendly, crazily entertaining movie with the old style of film making that completely wraps you in it's spell. There is some stuff in this movie that will make you cringe politically and even acting wise. However, this movie seems to transcend all of it's flaws and the changing times. So, if you want to see something that has made such a cultural impact with great and powerful characters, then Gone With The Wind is the rmovie to see." --William Joyce
