Our lunar adventures have introduced us to many other great explorers. Recently, we connected with the team behind Ranger Rick, the National Wildlife Federation's mascot and namesake of their magazine, Ranger Rick Magazine. The bots were tasked with creating a new way for kids to learn about nature and introducing Ranger Rick to a new generation of fans.
The result is Ranger Rick Jr. Appventures, a whole new way to experience Ranger Rick's animal adventures through a series of iPad storybook apps. We'll be creating a series of apps that help kids discover animals and nature in an innovative and interactive way. The first app is out now. Young adventurers can play, explore and create with Ricky Raccoon and Lars the Lion.
Here's a sneak peek of some of our favorite parts of the app:
Animal Piano
Create some really wild music with a piano that sounds like a lion, elephant or Baboon.
Count the lions by taking pictures of a 360-degree view of the African plains
Spin a clock and find out what a lion is doing while you are eating lunch or asleep.
Here's what people are saying about the app:
- "Teaches kids facts in a fun way" - Techlicious
- "Ranger Rick is looking pretty good for anything 50 years old" - Min Online
- "Ranger Rick Jr. Appventures app translates some stories from the magazine with a series of interactive features and games" - EW.com
Ranger Rick Jr. Appventures is now available for the iPad for $4.99 in the iTunes App Store.
