Our developers primarily use Unity as the game engine to create our interactive experiences for mobile and they were thrilled with the announcements at Unite 2013. Here's the what our devs said were their favorite new features:
Bo: "I noticed an unspoken trigger and callback system shown the GUI. It wasn't part of the announcement but I noticed it in the demo videos. That is going to be awesome."
Heather: "The new GUI system! I think we'll be able to do things much more easily now. I'm really excited about the updates to the animation system."
Nolan: "All the 2-D stuff that's going to be directly integrated into Unity. It's been challenging to do this with our games so far. The blend shapes stuff is amazing. We're going to be able to directly import from FBX files and that is the bomb diggity."
John: "It's going to handle sprite atlas packing in 2D. Also, we're always pushing performance on mobile devices so any performance update is going to help us make better stuff."
